Richmond High School - Richmond, MI
As a veteran wrestling coach, I want to take a few moments to comment on Lowell Assistant Wrestling Coach R. J. Boudro, his camp, and his family. I watched Coach Boudro evolve from a wrestler in nearby Armada into a coach, and we at Richmond wrestling hired Coach Boudro to run a clinic at Richmond a few years ago when he finished his collegiate career at Michigan State University.
I just want to share a brief story regarding Coach Boudro. For over fifteen years at Richmond High School, I traveled to Goodrich High School and Davison High School from Richmond High School twice a week during the off-season with area youngsters throughout March, April, and May. Any wrestler was invited to go from any school for freestyle or Greco-Roman practices. We always left at 5:00pm sharp. Sometimes the van would be fully loaded with a dozen or more wrestlers from as many as ten different schools, and sometimes the van would only have one athlete. For years, that athlete was R. J. Boudro. One could never question his dedication, and I knew then that someday, he would be a great coach.
I am sure that Coach Boudro, his family, and his staff will continue to work in the same tireless manner to ensure others can grow and learn. I have no doubt that any camp Coach Boudro and his family runs will benefit those athletes as committed as he was as a youngster, and the camp will have value in many ways outside of just learning the sport. If your son or daughter is looking for a good wrestling camp that will teach more than just wrestling, Coach Boudro, his family, and his staff will help. I highly recommend the experience.
Sincerely

The Boudro Wrestling camp is a great camp for the cost. We were able to take a whole team of 20 wrestlers for the same cost of 3-6 wrestlers at other camps. The instruction was outstanding. You are not sacrificing quality for cost. Also the location in St. Ignace is outstanding.
Nice job Boudro Brothers

Grand Ledge High School Head Coach - Grand Ledge, MI
I am the head wrestling coach at Grand Ledge High School. I have been coaching at Grand Ledge for coming up on my 7th year. I have taken teams to multiple camps including; Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Granby and Olivet College. In this testimony I will tell you why Boudro Wrestling camp has been the best camp that any of my teams have attended!
1) Location: This camp is held in St. Ignace Michigan. This is a great touristy town that gives you and your team great opportunities for FUN team bonding experiences, for example: Going to Mackinaw Island Boudro Wrestling sets it up to were you can take your team over to the Island for $9 a person when it normally costs $20-$25. Last year I took myself and 12 members of my team to the Island and we had a great time. The Tourist strip in St. Ignace: There are many shops that the kids can walk to, to get souvenirs and fudge. Mackinaw Bridge: Many of the kids on my team had never seen one of Michigan’s greatest man made wonders. I had kids glued to the windows when we drove across it twice.
2) Clinicians: Boudro wrestling brought in some of the countries greatest collegiate wrestlers highlighted with Cam Simaz 2 time All-American from Cornell, all the Boudro Brothers, and many other starters from Michigan State and Michigan. The kids were split up into groups according to their weight and the clinicians rotated through each group so every kid got to learn from every clinician at the camp.
3) Camp Stucture: This camp is a great mix of Technique (morning session), Intensive (afternoon session) and Team (night activities) camp. Each University Camp runs each of these types of camps separately so you have to choose which one you want to attend, which for me in the past had been a team camp. With a young team you really miss out on needed technique when you attend a University team camp. The Boudro Wrestling Camp experience allows your wrestlers to get all of these!
4) Lodging: At most camps your wrestlers and coaches are put up in dorms where you are required to pack extra pillows, blankets and bedding. At the the Boudro Wrestling Camp wrestlers and coaches are put up in hotels. These hotels provide large rooms with nice beds. The hotel also has a swimming pool which provides the wrestlers with entertainment when they have down time. Breakfast was also provided at the Hotel so there was no long walk to another dorm in order to eat in the morning.
5) Coaches Treatment: The Boudro’s make sure that each coach is happy with the camp and asks for feedback often. Coaches are given; complementary meals, tokens for the casino, shuttle to the casino, dinner and drinks with the clinicians at night. There are coaches scored competitions which involve, pool, darts, shuffle board, and bean bags. These events provide for a fun and open arena to talk about wrestling with the clinicians and other coaches. Coaches are also roomed at a separate Hotel from the wrestlers as there are many camp chaperones at the wrestlers hotel watching over them.
Grand Ledge has attended this camp the past two seasons by which we have gained a greater level of technique work ethic and team bonding. If you are looking for a great Summer Wrestling camp to take your team I highly suggest the Boudro Wrestling Camp In June. I promise you will not be dissatisfied! See You There!!
